MEET THE CREW

​Full time staff includes Bob Steineck and Design Associate Madeleine Steineck. Part-time staff and project-based design associates include Nicole White and Forrest Trimble. Technical and Production Associates include Nathaniel Siebert, Christopher Friedrick, Marina Wright, and Piper Clement. Breneborg Brown Group provides architectural expertise for the Company. Brace Engineering provides structural engineering services.

EDUCATION

​Bob Steineck Studied Theatre, Radio and Television at Gannon University where he received his BA in Theatre &Communication Arts. He completed a Master of Arts in Theatre Production and Design in 1985 at the University of Pittsburgh. He worked for two years at Candela as a lighting specialist for theatre and television systems. At Candela designed and sold lighting, dimming and rigging systems to professional theatres, high schools, and television studios. While at Candela, Bob continued free-lance lighting design for various clients. Notable projects included Le Papillion Restaurant, the sale and coordination of the stage lighting and dimming system for the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts and final design layout and equipment for the Manchester Crafstman’s Guild Concert Hall. In 1987 Bob left Candela to pursue lighting design and consulting full time with his newly formed company. Bob has designed and taught as adjunct faculty at both Grove City College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

LIGHTING DESIGN / PRODUCTION MGMT. 

Bob has toured throughout the US and abroad with such Companies as Raphael Xavier Company, Rennie Harris’ Puremovement & RHAW, Hammerstep, Reed Dance, Squonk Opera, the Lyon Opera Ballet, Sankai Juku, Phoenix Dance Company, Kirov Ballet Academy, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Lake Erie Ballet, Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival, and the "America Tour" for Stars on Ice. Television/Video/DVD credits include the DIZZY GILLESPIE Allstar Big Band for A&E Cable, the SPYRO GYRA concert for PBS, Lindy & Loon for Maria Del Rey and JOHNNY A TRIO by Warner Bros. Publications. He has designed the lighting for several corporate events, fund raisers and site-specific projects.

THEATRE CONSULTING

Bob Steineck has designed, consulted, and worked with the owners and architects on such projects as Falk Auditorium Lighting renovation at Winchester Thurston School, Christ Church at Grove Farm, the Willow Valley Cultural Center, Butler County Community College, Manchester Craftsman's Guild Concert Hall, West Virginia State College, Penn State University, Altoona Campus Performing Arts Center, Woodland Hills, Kiski, Millcreek Intermediate, Franklin Regional and Leechburg High School auditoriums, Ryno Productions and First Presbyterian Church television lighting system.

MADELEINE STEINECK
DESIGNER / TECHINICAL / PROD. MGR.


Madeleine Steineck graduated from Temple University in 2011 with a B.A. in Theatre: Lighting Design. Companies she has worked with as a Lighting Designer include: Pittsburgh Festival Opera, off the WALL Productions, MCG Jazz, fireWALL dance theatre, Morgantown Dance Studio, and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company. She is the resident Lighting Designer for Mercyhurst University's Theatre Program. Master Electrician credits include: Lake Erie Ballet, Texture Contemporary Ballet, PICT, Regional Dance America’s 2016 Northeast Conference and Performances in Erie, PA, and Mon Valley Sizzles at the Carrie Furnace. Touring has taken her to Chicago, IL and Burlington, VT with Raphael Xavier Company, and to Edinburgh Scotland with Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company where her work debuted at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

NICOLE WHITE
DESIGNER / TECHINICIAN / PROD. MGR.


Nicole White, has recently graduated from Point Park University with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts.  She has since designed the lighting for musicals, plays, concerts, and events.  Her recent designs with Bob Steineck & Associates include Singin' in the Rain Jr. at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, The Old Settler with New Horizon Theater, 1776, and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde at Woodland Hills High School, Hair Spray Jr. at Woodland Hills Middle School, and multiple Edgewood Symphony Orchestra concerts.

FORREST TRIMBLE
DESIGNER / TECHINICIAN / PROD. MGR.


Recently received is degree in theatre from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Forrest has designed the lighting for Company clients: New Horizons Theatre, Morgantown Dance Theatre, and for the Jewish Community Ctr. He has worked as theatre technician and production mgr. on several productions for Bob Steineck & Associates. Forrest continues to work with other performing arts organizations in the tri-state area.

CHARLES (PIPER) CLEMENT
DESIGNER / TECHINICIAN / PROGRAMMER


Piper is a senior at Point Park University, studying technical theatre. Recent lighting design credits for Company clients include Pittsburgh Festival Opera 2017 touring productions, Jewish Community Center, and Pittsburgh Playwright’s Theatre.

MARINA WRIGHT
DESIGNER / TECHINICIAN 


Marina holds a BA in Theater & Dance and a BS in Kinesiology from James Madison University. She is currently enrolled in the Dr. of Physical Therapy program at the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked with company client, New Horizon Theatre and has assisted with other company projects.

NATHANIEL SIEBERT
DESIGNER / TECHINICIAN / PROGRAMMER


Nathan has worked on numerous productions over the past 5 years both as designer and technician. He has many years of console programming as well as technical expertise in moving light operation/repair, rigging and technical coordination.  He has worked on cruise lines and in production rental houses.  He has experience in nearly all aspects of production and lighting.

CHRISTOPHER FRIEDRICK
DESIGNER / TECHINICIAN / PROGRAMMER


Christopher has worked on several productions as theatre technician. He has worked on several feature films and television movies with the Local 489.
